MUMBAI: BBC has announced an array of new
science fiction programming on BBC iPlayer, TV
and on radio.
In a new four-part series on BBC Two, Dominic
Sandbrook explores how science fiction has
offered a revealing window into our dreams and
our nightmares.
BBC iPlayer, meanwhile, will showcase three new
films featuring podcast ‘The Geek Syndicate’, and
a film narrated by Mark Gatiss. Across the radio
waves, BBC stations will offer content, from a
themed Freak Zone on BBC Radio 6 Music to
discussion on BBC Radio 3’s Free Thinking.
BBC Two will have the show ‘Tomorrow’s Worlds:
The Unearthly History Of Science Fiction’. This
new series sees historian and author Dominic
Sandbrook head to the very frontiers of space
and science to offer audiences the definitive
television history of science fiction.
