Answer for this cannot be a one-liner.
Insat 4A at 83 degree if you are keen on Hindi/Bengali FTA channels
Asiasat 3S if you are interested in Pakistani/Urdu channels.(Sahara too)
Intelsat 17 at 66 for viewers from South India. (TN & Kerala especially)
List is not exhaustive.

All the above applies for for C band.
But Ku band is of your interest , hunt for Insat 4B on 93.5.
