The buzz about Star Plus’ long running hallmark show Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya, produced by Spellbound and Walkwater Productions is apparently past its prime and the channel is considering the prospects of calling it a day. Though the final decision on the show is yet to be taken, rumour mills state that the show might end in mid September (2012).
Tellychakkar.com has got inside news that Beyond Dreams’ upcoming Sooli Upar Sej Piya Ki which deals with the strong subject of life of orphans might take the coveted 10.30 pm prime time slot. As reported by us earlier, the unit of Sooli... has left for their first outdoor schedule in Punjab (Patiala).
It was reported by a section of media that Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions’ Saraswatichandra might take the slot of Pratigya, but that does not seem to be the case as the show based on the popular novel seems to have been delayed further.
When contacted, producer of Pratigya Pearl Grey said that the news of Pratigya ending “is not true”.
Yash Patnaik, producer of the upcoming show Sooli Upar Sej Piya Ki is “clueless” about the launch date and time finalized for his show.
Sooli... has Sneha Wagh and Sudhanshu Pandey in important roles. As per our source, the show might launch in the last week of September or early October (2012).
Let’s see if Star Plus decides to end Pratigya or keeps it running on a different time slot.
