Colors has begun airing the latest promos for Bigg Boss Season 10 powered by Oppo Mobiles. The channel CEO, Raj Nayak recently tweeted where he mentioned Maruti Corp in the list of other sponsors. In the month of April, the channel locked in Appy Fizz as the presenting sponsor for the popular show. Last year, Snapdeal was the presenting sponsor; it came on board in 2014 after Vodafone’s five-year deal with the channel ended.

For this season, reports suggest that Salman Khan, the popular host of the show, is charging a whopping Rs 6 to Rs 8 crore per episode but he later asked the channel to contribute a certain amount to his charity organisation ‘Being Human’. The show is expected to hit the TV screens in October this year. Last year, Oppo Mobiles, which was also the ‘powered by sponsor’, spent around Rs 25 crore for the promotion of the brand. Reportedly, Snapdeal even spent Rs 35 crore for its sponsorship last time.

In two of the latest promos released recently, Salman Khan dons the suit of an astronaut while in the other, he is seen in his popular Sultan aka wrestler avatar.

Format change:

The format for this year’s Bigg Boss has a few new additions. For the first time, the show has been thrown open to public. In April, the channel launched promos inviting participants to submit a three-minute video showcasing some of the special traits which will make them eligible to enter ‘Big Boss 10’ as contestants. The date of sending the entries started in January and continued until May 31.
