Breaking "Bindass" Channel converting into a GEC, will air many Classic Shows

They are not replacing with sports channel...

They are slowly using old tactics to deliberately lose ratings and convert a successful channel to be a sports channel.

Disney International HD is bound to be Star Sports 3 HD in the future. Hence, the exclusion from all bouquets.

Star Utsav, Star Bharat..? Why one more? They can do this activities on Star Utsav. Star Utsav after removal from DD free Dish now running without any purpose.Bindass has a good fan base and identity. Retain it with atleast playing Movies and songs. Please don't add serials

That's the only concerned factor. Telecasting Old Good Stuff from Star Library is good but that should be on Star Utsav. Bindass should be kept Free for more Youth & Music oriented Shows.

Another Good Channel destroyed by BIG BRAND.
Earlier we lost a good light comedy channel "Big Magic" to Zee, which ruined it.
Now STAR will ruin a good Youth GEC "Bindass".

So, Zee Anmol vs Star Utsav, Big Magic vs Bindass.

Both Zee Anmol & Big Magic are doing well in the HSM. So no Comparison about that. It's sad that Star ruining the Good Channel which dropped into their Bouquet after joining hand with Disney. And destroying the hope of revival aspect of Star Utsav.

Earlier Gumrah, Paanch, D4D were killed off when Channel V was converted into a music channel in 2016. This is well before it shut down in September 2018. The only place to watch them is Hotstar.

Now Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Girl in the City will suffer the same fate. Whether or not they will come on Hotstar is unknown. This leaves MTV and Zing as the only option for youth.

Its so disguasting but True that Star is not at all interested with the Music Genre. First they ruined Channel V and now it's turn for Bindass.
Telecasting Old Good Serials are in Good intention but by smashing the Music & Youth Centric Channel is most unethical at this crucial juncture where every Broadcaster is fighting with the Trai New Regime Shock.

Hope they will air only light hearted shows only (not saas bahu sagas) plus star one youth shows also

Actually this is also a very interesting idea to bring old Star Plus & Star One Cult Shows with the Original Base Content of Bindass.

I miss old Bindass shows like Beg Borrow Steal, Dadagiri, Big Switch, Emotional Atyachar. I was expecting Star to bring back these and have a decent youth channel. Instead they are rebranding to destroy another youth channel and replace with another Star Sports channel.

Ohh...You steal my Words regarding this Old Shows of Bindass. "Emotional Atyachar - Beg Borrow Steal & Big Switch" all are Good Youth Oriented Cult Shows that Disney brought to Indian Television. Missed those Shows...

Who knows? Star may decide to telecast "Next Season IPL" + "PKL" on Bindass as well as Hungama with Special Kids Feed. Star/Disney can surprise & give Shock to everyone without prior intimation.

Initially Star Utsav used to show these genre serials. 2005-09. Later then they changed to saas bahu serials. All these kids shows were still fresh then, now these are counted under classics so no idea how much new audience will like.

This later became the forte of Life OK along with mythology (Mahadev, Chandrakanta) and Saavdhan India. The channel experienced its best period until 2014 when Ajit Thakur left Star.

What Star Bharat is doing, only they know. After it left DDFD it has gone to the dogs and even below &TV (though &TV has lower ratings it has improved its perception).

They did try comedy shows on Star Utsav few years back but it did not work, right now dedicated comedy channels r doing well hence they r capitalizing on it. Star Utsav has strong library of dramas so it will remain operating in that space. Cartoon Shows will just fill in small time band on Bindass, it will serve as a family fun channel for both urban and rural market.

Well 1stly Star does not know how to run a music channel, with so many players one needs to have a unique, interesting strategy to get deliver well... They just keep playing new songs all day be it on bindass or now defunct Channel V which is sure shot destined to fail.

Coming to reality shows, well Channel V programs had good following and ratings were decent, issue came up of returns not being viable as compared to investments made. These shows require lot of budget but revenues were falling short thus proving a loss making bet. Remember Star India has sports business so unlike Viacom18 it cannot continue to run with thin margin , they require money to buy high priced rights of events. Viacom18 can get revenue from GEC or Kids segment and sustain youth channel but Star India cannot bcoz sports channels require major allocation

Lastly Beg Borrow Steal, Ye Aashiqui, Emotional Atyachaar etc were all started by UTV ... Well before Disney tookover. It was Disney which scaled down content on bindass and later made it a music channel. Anyways shows on bindass except one or two were absolutely useless

Actually if We all remember when Star Utsav launched as FTA GEC the motto behind is to deliver Old Superhit Classics of Star Plus Library such as Kyunki Saans..... Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii....Kumkum and many more. Later on when these Rerun TRP decreased Star shifted the policy to bring Star Plus Serials which have just went Off-Air on Star Plus. But being a too much Repetative on similar Shows again & again - Star Utsav lost its way completely.
Again it's Regain some Oxygen when added to DDFD. But after exit from DDFD now Star Utsav sinked & sinked very badly.

And genuinely not "Bindass" but "Star Utsav" requires total Revamp right now.

Star Bharat (Previously Star One/Life OK) again a struggling front line GEC from Star where just 2 Shows are giving Oxygen that's Saavdhan India & Radhekrishna. But with just 2 Profitable Shows its now Unbearable Condition for Star to run this GEC with its HD Feed.
Now what is the Option Left for Star to receive some Business from Star Bharat ? I have no new Idea.

&TV failed due to bad strategy by ZEEL. Recently Total All Shows Flopped badly with &TV. Only 'BGPH' delivering some Business but it decreased drastically from earlier figure.
ZEEL is now totally in BlackOut Mode with this &TV + Zee ETC.

Star Bharat/LifeOK was best channel (even better than Star Plus) till it was Star One. The logo was different from rest of the Star network channels and the channel was also way too much cool with enough creative shows. No idea why Star killed such a well working channel!
