I have noticed in a few Hollywood movies such as Life of Pie and Kong: The Skull Island, when a computerized scene comes, the picture screen becomes short and black bars show on top and bottom.
What I mean is that the picture is telecasted on full screen without black bars but many times a particular scene is shown with black bars and once the scene ends, black bars disappear.
What is the reason behind it?
