Recently, my 2244 IR box was replaced with 5710 HD (for free) and connection switched to SES-8 instead of the trusty old ST-2.
I wasn't asked permission for this realignment.

Now since many days, I'm noticing image artifacts in the form of blocks forming on TV channels, once every 5 minutes on average.
This is not present on Set Top Box menus but only the Satellite TV content.

Moreover, the DD free dish logo is a drawback and there's no programming info on FTA channels.

I hence want things back to ST-2, along with a no-nuisance (perhaps older) set top box, as the new "SMART+" opaque logo is a nuisance, not to mention the forced advertising on power on.

What do you guys think? The connection is on D2-.

Check your signal strength and quality , blocky images often caused by low signal strength/quality

Update: Technician visit charges waived off and visit scheduled for box checkup+realignment to ST2. Looking forward to better viewing.

Shifted to ST2. Better EPG (MNX now shows up to 2 days of upcoming programmes), no DDFD logo and free channels also have their EPGs. Paying a premium to have satellites fetched from DDFD was a shame!

Technician blames blocky image on the satellite.
