There is no competition. 1sports ,eurosports, etc not thinking to give any competition to sony or star
Star easily takes BCCI rights and ICC rights which is enough for them to ran for whole year
Other hand sony takes all the important countries cricket like eng, aus , sl, etc..
here i don't see any competitor for sony , hence we are losing wi and nz cricket..
need espn as separate broadcaster and give tough competition to sony and star

As the news came from STAR they will not bid for events which will not provide Return on Investment( RoI) this is now happening for cricket also. Most probably New Zealand Cricket telecast timings( mid night) are not suitable for India until India plays' have not evoked interest from broadcasters.. Also matches not involving India are seen by very less number of viewers along with no sponsors or money that's why these are not getting picked up. Amazon Prime Video may start broadcasting from 2021 the NZ series at least these will be available for viewing be it by streaming. Going forward this is worrisome as many sports including niche ones may get affected and not have a live telecast.

When this channels are available audience has clear view that particular channel will telecast particular series.Almost every series will be telecasted at some channel.
To me those days are good.
Happy to subscribe all sports channels.

Back then rights came at reasonable prices along with no tariff order from TRAI.

In 2000, all the series across telecasted in india , mostly contributed combination of star and espn.
those are golden days

IPTV is the option time view cricket matches which are not available in Indian tv channels
