Yes NSS6 will expire on 17 dec 2017 & SES 12 will replace NSS6. SES 12 will launch in Q1 of 2018

It may be possible if distv migrate to MPEG 4 from MPEG 2 from Dec 2017/ Jan 2018. As far as SES 12 is concerned SES 12 will become operational after 3- 4 months of its launch
