If SUN DIRECT merges with RDTV (which is having huge possibility as of now) then the following channels will be added on SUN DIRECT:

4. Music: Bindass TV / Music India / Sony Mix / NGC Music.

5. Kids: Sonic ( English / Hindi) / Discovery Kids ( English / Hindi / Tamil).

6. English News: ET Now / Bloomberg TV India / NDTV Profit.

7. English Movies: UTV World Movies.

8. English Entertainment: KBS World / NDTV Good Times ( English / Hindi) / Discovery Turbo.

9. Infotainment: Big RTL Thrill / TLC ( English / Hindi) / Topper TV ( English / Hindi) / Preview Channel.

10. Shopping: Home Shop 18 / Telebrabrands.

11. Sports: Neo Sports / Sony Six.

12. Devotional: MH One Shraddha / Aaservatham / Blessing Kids TV / Prarthana Channel / Peace of Mind TV.

Total 85 New Channels and services excluding Language Feeds. No new Gujarati, Kannada & Malayalam Channels as SUN DIRECT already having all the RDTV Channels of these genre. Infact, RDTV has to take certain Malayalam & Kannada Channels from SUN DTH.


This thread creation has indeed been a painful as I had to always keep on glancing on both RDTV & SUN DIRECT websites respectively to look at their list. Hope my pain gets well rewarded and hoping the merging takes place. Lets see, hope for the best and stay positive.

Aaservatham and Blessing Kids TV are definitely Tamil Channels. But they are more of a Devotional Channel.

Official annoucement not possible as of now. Merging will happen may be later. If merging does not happen SUN DIRECT can no longer sustain in West Bengal becasue as Panchayat Polls are approaching We Bengalis badly need 24 Ghanta Bangla News or else by next month I and my relatives who use SUN DIRECT will dump our connections. I am not spreading baseless rumours. Please wait and please be patient.:no
