Very strange that the viewership of Hindi and regional HD GECs is less than that of English channels. It shows that most viewers of English shows watch them in HD.

Blame bouquets for the downfall. Everything for ₹57.82 vs Everything for ₹141.60. NCF also increases with HD bouquets because of channel count. Also English channels are fairly priced than Hindi ones. Broadcasters' logic are pathetic as well. Star Bharat SD cost ₹11.60. Meanwhile HD cost ₹22.40. No one's buying HD channel in double price for Savdhaan India. Unless it's sports and infotainment. SD is good enough for viewing.
