I am looking forward to the competition among the upcoming five satellite news channels in Malayalam. Firstly, I appreciate the confidence of these channels to compete with existing news channels like Asianet News, Manorama News, etc. I believe this will have an adverse impact on the revenue of the existing Malayalam channels.
NDTV Malayalam, an upcoming Malayalam channel from Adani's NDTV Group, encourages other flagship channels to launch their channels for the Malayalam audience.
Reporter TV is worthy of special appreciation for the confidence shown by Reporter TV Network in relaunching their existing Malayalam news channel and expanding their network to more regions. They have planned to launch six news channels in other languages, with the flagship channel being in Malayalam.
M5 News, an upcoming Malayalam news channel, is set to launch on August 17, 2023. Although I am not aware of their strategies, their logo exudes confidence in this field.
The Fourth, another upcoming Malayalam news channel, has started broadcasting through social media. Nanjiyamma, a Malayalam singer, presented their logo.
Zee Malayalam News, an upcoming news channel, is also streaming through social media. There is no news about their satellite TV channel launch yet, but it is expected to arrive soon since their Zee Kannada News has already been launched.
In conclusion, I believe these channels will completely transform the news market in Malayalam. I also hope that they will provide 100% accurate news to their viewers.
