Darshana TV, a new malayalam channel from Malabar region starting their regular programmes in IS-17 at 66 Deg East in the new year day tomorrow 01/01/2012.

Freq: 3876, Symbol Rate : 13840, Fec : 7/8, Polarity : H

Modulation : DVB S Mpeg-2

Can expect as a General Entertainment + Religious.

It is too early to categorise a channel before starting their regular programmes. Let them start their programmes tomorrow. Will watch it for sometime and then can comment.

Initially they started their test transmission on Insat 2E for almost 1-2 months, after that they migrated to IS-17. Tomorrow (01/01/12) by 7:30pm Indian time, they are starting their regular programmes.

Darshana TV is a Muslim Malayalam channel started by Samastha Kerala Sunni Students' Federation (SKSSF). So good to have it.

It is different from the Darshan 24 a Hindu religion channel from BAG Network on Insat 4A

Also there is another different channel Dharisana TV Tamil on Intelsat 17. So much confusion :lol

DVBS-2 8PSK MPEG-4.

Currently available in both parameters.
