No news from PB yet . Wait for launch announcement or Test feed on DD FD than we'll know its mandatory or not .
But i think it'll he same like DD Retro which not mandatory but all operators added

Guys as per some news site this will be PB first paid channel . for DD FD users it'll be FTA but for other DTHs it may be paid channel . DD will e-auction for the movies slot in this Channel . Short films will also feature.

I think Prasar Bharati want to give a name which is not used by other network. Film word is not used by other network but "Movies" & "Cinema" words are used by other Network, Zee Cinema, Star Movies etc. So PB want to launch a channel with "DD Film" name not with "DD Movies" or "DD Cinema".

I Managed to crack DD Film's B*ss Key @93.5E C Band. But unfortunately DD Film is using 4:2:2 video codec. 4:2:2 is not supported by satellite receivers.

I took these screenshots by connecting my receiver with its compatible android app.

DD Film currently has no logo. This hindi movie is currently running on it again and again
