Not sure about south, but sure about Marathi broadcaster's will be participate in auction. Because Zee already approved 3rd MARATHI GEC in his bouquet.
In Marathi movie channels race, the Viacom will be possible to place his Marathi movie channel, which is under test from last year.

Why DD free Dish is not fixing few slotw for all languages. Like for Odia language they should have some reserved slots. Such like for other languages too.

Dd should decrease slot prices for regional channel especially in south, then only broadcasters may interest to place their channels on DD FD. Until then i don't think southern channel will intrest on DD FD platform due to lack of Dth popularity in Southern Market.

Merely decreasing regional slot price wont help. South channels cant compete with even marathi,bengali,assamese channels on freedish. So south channel will easily lose auction even with low slot price. PB should reserve min 2 slot in annual auction for each major lang who are not represented on DDFD. This quota policy should be done for 3-4 yrs so that substantial user base is created for that lang. Quota should end when their bid prices gets comparable to current regional bucket price

DDFD neither a private dth nor a paid dth to fight for competition. Even auction for 200 DDFD channel will not make any difference for that regional channel owner. DDFD open auction for all over lndian tv channel, not only for north lndian.

Lol, if they can't allocate at least 1 tp space for big markets like Telugu, tamil and remaining 2 other south languages, then there is no need to use for watching only DD channels or 2more slots as you said.

BTW south users not interested to watch fta entertainment like others. That's why 3rd class channels are also gets popularity in north just because of DD FD.

if we have reservations in jobs in govt sector, Then why not for channels on govt Dth platform DD FD.
If I am not wrong, they already having reserved slots for different genres. So reserving slots for languages will be good for attract new customers.
