Breaking DD Uttarakhand, 24x7 hour satellite channel of Doordarshan will be launched soon

Director general of Doordarshan Supriya Sahu said that Uttarakhand would soon get a 24x7 hour satellite channel of Doordarshan - DD Uttarakhand. She met the Uttarakhand chief secretary Utpal Kumar Singh at the Secretariat here on Saturday and expressed the hope that the state government would extend full cooperation for telecasting local programmes on Doordarshan.

She added that in view of its new situations, Doordarshan would stress on making contemporary programmes so as to encourage the cultural and social activities of the state. She further said that Uttarakhand would soon get a 24x7 hour satellite channel of Doordarshan - DD Uttarakhand.

Not launching soon. DD Arunprabha planning to launch in 2015-16 but no news about it. DD Roshini also launched but not available in any DTH or Cable. DD channels are planning to launch but not launching soon.
