Look how Star Gold and Star Utsav Movies deliver excellent ratings in Hindi Speaking Markets (15+ age group) and if we get viewership data for HSM ( 2+) and Mega Cities , HSM ( Urban ) then surely Disney-Star Hindi Movie Channels will have even better ratings in this segment.
A movie like Crakk which lacked big star power gets massive 3.1 rating upon its premiere on Star Gold which itself signifies that Disney-Star has a very large audience base which loves watching bollywood movies while rival networks with their core focus being on airing more Dubbed South Indian Movies have surely lagged behind in this aspect....... Also since last few months Zee Anmol Cinema has started airing more and diverse variety of bollywood movies therefore it too has garnered very good ratings.
None of hindi movie channels From Sony feature in above posted viewership/ ratings chart reason being that not only they r weak interms of bollywood content as well as building a robust + dedicated audience base for this category but even losing out on Dubbed South Indian Movies .......Both Zee and Sony have another thing to worry that much of the Dubbed South Indian Movies which get aired on their Hindi Movie Channels are also getting shown on FTA Hindi Movie Channels which r owned by companies that have satellite rights of these movies hence exclusivity factor is also absent in this case......Colors Cineplex again will have to focus more on airing bollywood movies in order to gain a strong presence in HSM (Urban) audience group and further improve its performance in HSM (Urban+Rural) region and Mega Cities which also help in getting more premium ad rates and niche brands to advertise on the channels thus generating more revenue
