Guys

This query is regarding HD+ set top box which comes with dual tuner. If we check Signal Test using STB organiser menu, it shows different signal strength and quality for different channels.

For example, if I check Star Plus HD signal, T1 shows 80 strength and 50 quality but T2 shows 80 strength and 100 quality.

When I check Star Plus SD signal, both T1 and T2 show 80 strength and 100 quality.

Some channels show very less around 40 signal quality for one tuner but 100 quality for other tuner.

Is it normal?

One more thing! I want to know which thing depends upon which thing. I mean does signal strength depend upon antenna alignment only or the cable also? I think signal strength depends upon antenna alignment and signal quality depends upon cable quality. Is it true?

If u use a high gauge coaxial cable, then automatically some strength as well as quality will increase ,but one thing strength depends not only on proper alignment but also depends on the strength provided by the satellite broadcaster...if dish and lnb properly aligned then surely quality increase....quality are different for different channels

Yes , quality are different for different channels , yesterday when.it was raining .... I was receving some channels without any disturbance and some.went blank ....

But is it normal to get one tuner quality so low like 30 or 40 and other tuner quality 100 for many channels?
