MUMBAI: Discovery Turbo will kick off the show, Desert Car Kings, on 25 May.
The show will air every Wednesday at 9 pm.
The father-son team of Ron and Jason McClure love cars. Their family business is Desert Valley Auto Parts — which houses over 10,000 rust-free vehicles over 100 sun-baked Arizona acres. Their goal? To restore classic American cars to their original glory and get them back on the road, while discovering the unique and historically significant qualities of each car — and of course, to fetch a fair price at auction.
The McClures and their crew are not merely contended with providing original parts for thousands of car collectors and restoration junkies each year but are constantly on the hunt for cars to restore — seeking them out in backyards, barns and even on their own massive lot. They seek to get as many classic American cars fixed up and back on the road as possible.
One episode is called Parts and Restoration. The McClures clash over restoring a '65 Thunderbird when there's more to be made dismantling it for parts. Selling affordable classic cars tests the foundations of the family business, but it all comes down to the auction.
