MUMBAI: 2014 is a very significant year for infotainment broadcaster Discovery .

First, it expanded its offerings
considerably and showed ambition by launching three new channels, one of which marked a serious move into the Hindi entertainment space.

Another reason is that it was
decided that the 10-year joint venture distribution company
with Multi Screen Media (MSM) would end.

While refusing to talk about the distribution scene, Discovery
South Asia executive VP, GM Rahul Johri said that clear goals were identified for 2014: Expand Discovery’s portfolio of channels and offer finest entertainment
