I have a better suggestion. Go for HD box. Still you can use SD packs and also MPEG4 support is also available with the box.If you wish you can watch HD channels even if you have SD tv,then too you can watch HD content in SDtv also.
Importatnt factors are..
1)New box
2)New remote
3)New mono lnb (3 satellite accessory)
4)1year warranty
5)New adaptor,AV cables & HDMI.
