DishTV taps Ali for dth service expansion in india

STB chipset provider ALi has signed a partnership agreement with Asian DTH operator DishTV. ALi and DishTV plan to enhance their existing DTH operations and target future expansion opportunities. DishTV has selected ALi as its platform and strategic partner in the SOC domain.


The partnership is based on ALi’s technologies to provide a STB service with next-generation security tailored specifically for the India market. It aims to provide value-added services to expand DishTV’s offering.


DishTV reports it currently serves over 13 million subscribers, or 27 percent of the Indian DTH market.
