Dishum broadcasting to launch bhojpuri channel dishum on 15th august

Dishum Broadcasting Pvt Ltd announced the launch of its upcoming Bhojpuri GEC – Dishum on 15th July’17 in Patna through a press conference. To grace the occasion, Ravi Kishan, Pawan Singh, Madhu Sharma &ShivikaDewan, the superstars of Bhojpuri industry were present. The channel unveiled its first look along with International Bhojpuri Film Awards (IBFA).

Dishum guarantees complete entertainment for entire family. The channel will have a mix of fiction & non- fiction content which will have programs across genres such as mythology, horror, drama, kids shows, etc. catering to all the members of the family. The channel will also showcase Bhojpuri blockbusters for its audience. The channel has acquired exclusive telecast rights for the Yashi Films property IBFA which is going to be happening in London on 30th July, 2017.

Dishum is targeting a reach of 65 million household’s right from day one of launch. It will be available on all major distribution platforms barring Doordarshan’s Freedish.

While Freedish offers a huge reach, Gurnani feels the economics is not right in the case of regional channels since the cost of buying slots is too high at Rs 8 crore. “We will not go on DD Freedish because they don’t have separate pricing for regional channels.
