Well if You u want maximum No. of HD Channels excluding ESS HD Channels with good PQ & AQ then go for Dish HD, but quality of SD channels is not up to the mark, then with 22 HD channels comes D2H, the biggest advantage is economical packages for subscription with decent PQ & AQ, but I guess you aren't looking for economical point of view, some members complained SD channel quality from time to time and further HD Channel addition is doubtful in near future. I would recommend ADTV though expensive but have All the major HD Channels i.e. 17, AQ & PQ is excellent !!!

I like Dish TV bouquet of HD channels... not having ESS HD is ok 4 me.
also D2H is gud , but ppl are reporting their pic quality have gone down.
airtel p.q is gud but they r lagging behind in HD section.
all in all i am a bit confused....:skd
but my decision slightly tilted towards dish tru :hd

Yes if you are not an Sports Enthusiast then from the Complete Entertainment point of view Dish Tru HD is the Best Option for you, and in future who knows, they just might also add ESS HD channels !!! B'cos they added Asli Star HD Channels after a long delay..... They do not have any space issues in near future.....

Though Dish TV leads in HD but certainly lags in SD PQ. God knows how it would be on a 40 inch tv. Also as far as I know, no 5.1 surround sound in HD channels. (Correct me if Im wrong)

D2H on other hand provides good PQ on SD and HD with DD 5.1 on most HD channels. I donno why ppl call it decent but HD pq is awesome on my 42 inch LED tv. Just personal feeling. Even SD channels look good on such big screen.

ADTV PQ is similar to D2H or may be slightly better. No noticeable difference.

If you need only HD , Dish TV is a better option. If you also need SD forget Dish and checkout D2H and ADTV. Since you're moving from digital cable, may be, second option is good for you.
