Hai all i am very new to this dth environment, recently i brought one airtel dth to my home and i was thinking about the use of ethernet port in that box, please guide me with this and any tweeks by which i can improve my viewing quality

Assign the manual IP to the box and then try to check the ping result? If the ping result is successful then it means it is connected to the network. This is the 1st step for you to check
