Nowdays only star and viacom HD channels get added on the launch date...others have to wait.

The high-definition version of
the Telugu entertainment
channel (GEC), ETV Telugu HD
has been launched by the
channel Eenadu Television.
ETV Telugu HD, the round the
clock satellite channel from
South India, will soon be
added on Hathway Cable, the
greatest player in Telangana
and Andhra Pradesh, and
Datacom.
The channel has in its
repertoire, a large number of
different shows including
drama, reality shows,
devotional programs, non-
fiction shows, news bulletins,
movies and some music-
based shows.
The HD version of the ETV
Telugu channel was
previously launched on Siti
Cable, InDigital, Nandyal
Communication Network,
SCV Tirupati, Krisna Teja
Tirupati, Shree
Communications Ongle, and
Kurnool Mahalakshmi and
NXT Digital, the headend-in-
the-sky (HITS) platform.
Chowdari, the
distribution head of
Eenadu Television,
commented: “The
channel will be
launched on direct-to-
home (DTH) platforms
once there is sufficient
bandwidth. We should
be available on DTH
platforms by the end
of this month. They
don’t have sufficient
bandwidth to add new
channels. Once the
bandwidth opens up,
we will be added on
DTH platforms also”.
Commercial negotiations with
multiple system organisations
will soon be in process since
Andhra Pradesh’s MSOs have
not started HD packaging yet.
