Hotbird was available in Delhi long time back, when footprints were strong.
ppl dont get 9e,13e,16e bcoz the footprints dont reach Delhi, and ppl dont have big dishes.
One more reason is:
C band dishes are prime focus ones, whereas Ku band dishes have an offset arm.
The offset arm makes an angle of 16 degrees itself, which means, essentially u can set the elevation of the dish to -16 degrees.
But below 0 deg, earth wud come in between satellite signals n ur dish... which means, although ur dish can go to -16, but signals can be obtained over 0 degree.... This point is called BTH (below d horizon)
C band dishes have to go down a little more, bcoz the LNB is at the centre of d dish, rather than towards d bottom.
Thats why generally its difficult to get low elevation signals on prime focused dishes. :c
