New Delhi, May 18 : Are you bored of watching Meghna Malik's strictness in "Na Aana Iss Des Laado"? Get ready for some laughs with new fun loving Ammaji, played by Farida Jalal in the forthcoming comedy show "Ammaji Ki Galli"."Ammaji Ki Galli", which will come on SAB TV, is Farida's full-fledged role on the small screen after a long time.





The show narrates the story of families residing in the crowded bylanes of Amritsar. There are six different households, but everyone lives like a family and considers Ammaji as their eldest member.

The show also marks the comeback of actress Rakshanda Khan, who shot to fame with her roles in "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" and "Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin". She will play Parminder in "Ammaji Ki Galli", which will go on air June 20.

The 62-year-old started her acting career as a child artiste with the 1960-hit "Chaudhvin Ka Chand" and essayed varied roles thereafter. She has played on-screen mother to many stars including Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Akshay Kumar.

She was seen on the small screen for the first time in popular comedy show "Dekh Bhai Dekh" and was later seen in "Shararat" as well. In 2009, Farida made a cameo in "Balika Vadhu".
