Many of us are not happy with the new TRAI rules. Instead of paying a heavy price for pay channels, we can start viewing the fta channels and start increasing their TRP so that pay channels will be forced to reduce their prices. For Ex: Tamil regional customer
Choose whatever tamil channels available as FTA. We should start watching their soaps(even though it is old soaps) instead of pay channels soap and programs
Ex:
7.00 AM zee tamil devotional show = 7.30 AM puthuyugam
5.30 pm jaya tv cookery show = 5.30 pm puthuyugam
7.00 pm suntv azhagu, vijay tv raja rani = 7.00 pm puthuyugam malli (even though it is a old soap) or vasanth tv aadugiran kannan (old soap)
7.30 suntv kalyana veedu, = 7.30 kalaignar tv vaira nenjam (even though it is a old soap)
8.00 vijay tv Ponnukku Thanga Manasu = 8.00 kalaignar tv madipakkam madhavan (even though it is a old soap)

Yes!!!
I am not happy on TRAI's new tariff.
I personally feel, ₹19 is so costly for every popular channel & not affordable for everyone. So, we should avoid Pay channels completely. After lossing TRP, either they itself convert them as FTA or may decrease price rates.

It's a good plan but even without that, I guess prices will fall within 3 months cause recently Zee decreased it's SD family pack's price which was earlier ₹45, but now they are charging ₹39 for it.

That's exactly what I'm going to do. Specially going to boycott star.
Star needs to be taught a lesson. I hope none get their value packs which were heavily advertised. If needed just get A-la-Carte and make them realise their packs are pathetic. Even i watch football on star and their premium bouquet costs 110+gst if i want select channels. So decided to get only those 2 and ditch the other packs. Star acts like their packs are worth paying a premium price which in reality is non sense. If they reduce the price then all other broadcasters will follow eventually.
