Bro Tata sky provides sd, Tata sky hd and Tata sky+ hd, Tata sky+ hd set top box allows recording feature with inbuilt storage with price around 9000k and Tata sky hd is simple hd stb without recording with price around 1500k
Tata sky+ HD box have some additional features also

Definitely you should go with HD box, if you select HD box, you can connect with both CRT and LED TV's.
Technicolor STBs are giving good clarity
