Hyderabad : Sun TV Network's Telugu Satellite channel Gemini TV has climbed the Top spot in AP market with the magnificent ride of "Memu Saitam" Telethon Live event.
The Massive nonstop Marathon Entertainment Live event conducted on 30th November from 10 AM to 11:30 PM, with the overwhelming support of Telugu Film Fraternity to raising funds for the rehabilitation of people affected in recent ''Hud Hud Cyclone" that devastated the port city of Vishakapatanam in AP.
The single day Live event of ''Memu Saitam'' telethon alone delivered an whooping 384 GRP to the channel.
Apparently helping Gemini TV to clock an overall GRP of 770 in week 49 to clinch the top position in AP market, pushing Maa TV to No.2 spot with 566 GRP, followed by Zee Telugu at close No.3 with 542 GRP.
Memu Saitham event on 30th November from 10 AM to 11:30 PM has delivered an Average of 13.5 TVR in MF 4+ and 14.5 TVR in Fe 15+ ABC with peak rating of the event at 23 TVR.
‘MEMU SAITAM’ consisted of several exciting events such as Cricket with Stars, Mega Lucky Draw, Celebrity Dinner with Stars for 100 couples and the Mega Telethon - a 12 hours Live Telethon with Musical Performances of all the top Musicians, Singers and Stars, Dance Performances by top Stars, Entertainment Shows directed by popular directors and performed by the Stars.
Gemini TV has contributed around Rs 3.5 Cr towards the HudHud relief fund and the entire collection of Rs 10 Cr was handed over to Chief Ministers relief fund. The cheque was handed over to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu who also attended the event.
