Gemini TV to launch new daily from Balaji Telefilms starting 19 September

BANGALORE: Sun Network’s Telugu offering Gemini TV announced that it will be airing a new soap from the Balaji Telefilms stable –‘Kannavaari Kalalu’ (Dreams of Parents), starting 19 September.

‘Kannavaari Kalalu’ will be aired daily from Monday to Friday at the primetime 7 pm slot.

Kannavaari Kalalu’ replaces Balaji Telefilms' ‘Kotha Bangaram’ (New Gold) which ran quite successfully through 425 episodes and is now being wound up to give a new experience to the television viewers, revealed a source at Gemini TV. Around 7-10 episodes of ‘Kannavaari Kalalu’ have been already canned, the source added.

‘Kannavaari Kalalu’ is a story of two boys, friends who grew up together, their families and the relationship that develop with time. There is also a third family, neighbours of one of the friends.

Among the cast of ‘Kannavaari Kalalu’ are Vamsee and Swathi, the male and the female leads, television and film actresses Subhalekha Sudhakar, Priya and Rajasri Nair, the female lead of Nagesh Kukonoor’s 1998 movie ‘Hyderabad Blues’.
