At this rate I won’t be surprised if Colors overtakes Star Plus in some markets, if not overall. It is having an unbelievable run lately. Zee TV on the other hand is completely lost. Sony Sab is doing pretty good with TMKOC though the new shows are yet to show in the ratings, while Sony, as always, is all about class and reality shows, not ratings.

Expectations from Colors are high none of Colors show are close to even ZEE TV's shows.

Tamil, telugu Bigg boss is with Disney-Star.

Bengali is the only big regional language without Bigg Boss. Bigg Boss Bangla was on ETV Bangla or Colors Bangla but it was cancelled after a few seasons. Any idea why Bigg Boss failed in Bengali whereas it has been a huge hit in other languages?

I think it failed because Bengalis are more conservatives and down to earth. They don't relate to million dollar celebrities. Stars culture doesn't exist here. While Tollywood stars in South plays the gimmick of playing a commoner. Here stars don't rub their wealth on your face. They live like ordinary people.

Thanks to Bengal region people they understand the concept of show and decided not to continue any more. More then reality looke like the show is scripted. Infact many celebs has rejected the offer to participate in the show also some celebs has regretted after coming out from the BB house that they have taken wrong decision.
