Still the Star Movies logo is good. They may have to adopt their regional logo style if rebrand happens. Its not suitable, thus people may criticise. Current logo should be improved by some smaller changes including colour along with graphics package. Enough.
In this streaming era, English channels have no future. Only Popular brands (Star Movies, Pix, Movies Now etc) can survive but will go without growth for an unknown time period then starts decline. I thought Star forecasted it and thus lost interest in spending much over Star Movies. But they now wake up by launching SM select. Usually if Star found any channel has no future (even its not started sinking), they will stop active investment,then just run it for a sake and let its death early. Only Viacom18 is liberal of treating niche channels well.
Nothing can be predicted in case of Star. SM select may get shutdown by next year
Any way there is chance for revamping Star Movies at the launch of SM select.
Also I prefer Star Movies 2/Star Movies 2 HD instead of this long name Star Movies Select.
