In airtel, the EPG will pop up when there are some BAT updates due to backend activities. Since TS and Airtel are using same software this could also because of some backend activities. Just a guess.

EPG's popping up autometically indicates that something is going on in the background. It seems that soon we can hear the good news that Tatasky has started the testing of '&tvHD' channel !!

today i to received same but here in DDF we tata sky users are quit optimistic in knowing that so single and small things very soon and so same results is actually looking tata sky's every step of action looks quit much slow

According to above thread, "Nagpal informs that the increase will not be passed on to the subscribers through an increase in price packs as the amount is minimal which is one per cent.".

This seems, some relief to TS subscribers
