This was the Indian space organisation’s twentieth satellite mission through Arianespace. It will add to that count when it launches two more satellites – GSAT 11 and GSAT-11 – using Arianespace launchers in 2017.

One thing can happen as it's having 24 ku band TP so dth like sun direct or rdtv can migrate to 74*.

GSAT-18 has 12 ku band TPs & those TPs are meant for replacement of INSAT-4CR which is now used for EDUSAT programming.
