Yes vijay you may be right beams can be modifies as per use and many satellites are used as a back up also, I can say the Etulsat-25C was also retired at 70*East and now it is @ 25,5*East position and from 6 months I am watching 25.5*East channels. Note one thing its not like our GSAT series after launching the new satellites vanishes. But the Good satellites like Etulsat, Asiasat, Intelsat series work even after their life.
Asiasat-7 was said to be new satellite and it was for Asiasat3S replacement ,But till today Asiasat-3S working fine and stable signal.Friends we all depends on various information like flysat, Lyngsat,sat-beams ,As shubham bro post good info. and I check which seems to be true .Rest within few days sat-beams will update the beams so let us see,but sat-beams confirm its position at 78.6*East you can check it.
