HD STB vs NEW HD DVR 500GB

Dear friends,

I am interested to take HD DVR 500GB STB.. But my father enquired somewhere they told HD STB and HD DVR almost same except 500GB and recording function and also price is too high for HD DVR.

But it seems there is a lot differ from normal HD STB.

Any experts are there to tell Diff b/w HD STB Vs HD DVR 500GB..

what way i can convince my dad to get HD DVR.. few of feautures already in there in website but its theartically.. i need information from practically who experienced both of STB...

with hd dvr u can record movies and programs for viewing later.

I have used both, first brought HD STB, then upgraded to HD DVR. 500 GB DVR is good and yeah UI looks same in both, only thing is processing is faster in HD STB but in HD DVR it takes much time, mainly in booting time.

Its headache otherwise good service by them. I think I aware Bapun raz before he buy dvr.

So far i have watch not good review about D2h HD DVR regarding problem in voice of recorded content.
there hardware is not up to mark againt TS and AIRTEL

Older hardware design is great as well as I like their oldest white model very much & my opinion is no any box is great after compare all dth boxes. really Great. I like it very much. Only problem is green light never turn on even message reading is pending.

Old HD DVR STB is bigger, new one also of the same quality. You can't say till you check new one. New white remote also light weight and looks cooler then old one.
