Steps to flash the software:
1. Switch off stb from the mains switch
2. Insert pen drive with the copied software into the USB slot
3. Switch on power from the mains
4. Immediately press channel up button on stb and hold for about 20 secs and the leave the button.
5. Software update from the pen drive will start.
6. It will finish on its own in about 10 to 15 minutes and will reboot by itself
7. And yes there is the new software for your STB with new GUI and glitches and bugs gone.

I tried the steps but even after 30 mins also still STB is showing "boot" on the STB screen.

I am using HD DVR 500GB 4614 model.
My software download ID : 22 . It is very old one so thought of updating.

Any help?

I tried that also. But it is just showing "boot" on STB screen.

Bro, copy the actual file into the root of pen-drive and try. It will work. I hope u got what I said. Not the folder but the update file into the root, suppose if pen-drive letter id f: copy to f: (file name). Try and see. Cheers

Thanks for the useful help. Looks like other pend drive has some problem.
Updated the software with the given steps. Thanks to all your help.
