Welcome to tracking world. Good to know your interest matches with us. :)

~ Ku-Band or C-Band (As I research C-Band are more powerful than Ku-Band ?).
Ku-band = small dishes of 65-90-120 cms mostly. Used for DTH services. DTH stands for Direct to Home
C-band = 4-6-8-12 ft. Dishes. Used for broadcasting channels by cable operators. Some hobbyist use it for personal tracking too.

~ Normal or Fiber ?
Normal metal dish recommended which is available on market.

~ Size ? (4 Ft., 6 Ft. or 8 Ft.)
4ft. won't work on every location of India and hardly you will get signals on all TPs of a satellite.

6ft is suitable and portable for beginners on C band tracking.

It does as quality product comes in brand name. You can go for Solid or Link (personally used) brand dishes. They are strong enough and does not get rusted that easily.

Sharp LNBs for Ku band and Solid LNB for C band. :ok:

You can start with any basic FTA STB (set top box) and once you require more advanced features can get a better one.

All FTA receiver can receive available free to air channels.

Currently no FTA 4K channels available in India i think so so not worth investing in a FTA 4K box. Get HD FTA box.

Again Solid. ;)

Indian FTA Channels are available on Intelsat 20 @ 68.5°E. You will get lot of regional channels. But it will require big C band dish, atleast 6 ft.

Hope it helps.

Really, such a great reply from you really appreciated. Aforesaid want to track Indian channels so I'm choosing C-band | 6 Ft. Solid Dish | Solid LNB. Sir, Also please provide me the model for Solid FTA STB?

Is there any way to know the channel list of Intelsat 20 @ 68.5°E.

Welcome mate. I use a SOLID HDS2-6069 Free-to-Air MPEG-4/ DVB-S2/ PVR IT BOX. Search for it on Google and you'll get buy links.

Intelsat 20 at 68.5°E - LyngSat
FlySat Intelsat 20 (IS-20) @ 68.5° East

Another sat worth trying is Insat 4A (C band) @ 83°E. It has also many hindi FTA channels and stronger footprints then Intelsat in India.

Check these forum sections, where our members provided updates on these satellites:

Thank you so much for a wonderful reply Raz.

Want to ask :

~ Is there any way to hack/track paid channel free or we can watch only FTA channels only?
~ GSAT/INSAT are Indian satellites as we know but is there any type of website where I can check/find satellite name country wise?
~ Should I go for 6 Ft. Dish or 8 Ft. Dish (Your opinion?)

@Speedmax13, we are support providing community so do not post only reference to other site, it can be considered as promotional towards them.

In my last post i have given him lyngsat link already with which he might already have discovered the site.

~ Is there any way to hack/track paid channel free or we can watch only FTA channels only?
There are ways. But it is considered as piracy and we don't support piracy, this is to adhere with rules defined by our government. And no details will be provided regarding it here in this forum.

No idea. Its been long time i played with satellites.

@Gssran or @M.J.Sadiq bro may help.

I have used 6 ft. But if you can go with 8 ft. then i would recommended that as that can fetch more signals.
