The trend of last week seems to continuing with the Hindi GEC genre seemingly on the road to recovery of sorts with the conclusion of the IPL season. The genre saw an increase of 1.1% viewership in week 22 according to TAM data.

As the IPL season 8 concludes Star Plus and Colors react quickly to bounce back gaining 16 and 13 GRPs respectively. All the properties of Star Plus saw an upward trend; 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein', 'Sathiya Sath Nibhana' &' Tere Shehar me' leading the bandwagon. Colors witnessed growth in both prime time and rest of the day part ; Balika Vadhu gained maximum in prime time ratings.

Zee TV slid 4 GRPs further taking the gap with Colors to 49 GRPs. At the same time the gap between Zee TV and SAB (which is at 4th position) has narrowed to just 4 GRPs. Jodha Akbar once the flagship show of the channel has lost maximum viewership in Prime Time. Also the replacement of 'Bandhan' in 1900 slot 'Tumhi Ho Bandhu sakha tumhi ho' seems to not be performing as well.

This week &TV witnessed a slight drop but the channel continued to grow in weekday prime time. Bhabhiji ghar par hai of &TV is currently performing better than Star Plus' 'Manmarziyan' & SAB's 'Peterson Hill' which are other properties from 2230 Slot.

Sony SAB grew by 5 GRPs; this growth mainly came from non prime time day part and from the most run show of the genre 'Taarak mehta ka ooltah chashma'.

In a very close battle Star Utsav this week managed to gain a lead of 1 GRP over Zee Anmol.
