When I open the links on flysat it look as the beam is far from your place,does that means it fringe beam?
I ask this question because I live in Africa precisely west Africa and I want to give this bird a try with my ten foot solid dish.

It isnt fringe beam. Beam does cover, Northern parts of India.
Moreover the last contour is of 48dbW, hence its very strong, for other parts of d country as well.

Where in W.Africa, you put up ?
You should be able to get some signals with 10 ft dish, I guess.
