IndiaCast Media Distribution has switched off signals of the channels that it distributes to multi-system operator (MSO) Siti Cable across India. The signals were switched off in both digital addressable system (DAS) and analogue areas.
IndiaCast disconnected the signals on three grounds—non-renewal of agreement, outstanding dues, and non-submission of subscriber reports. “We have disconnected signals to Siti Cable in DAS and analogue markets. They have not renewed agreements which ended in March.
They have not paid outstanding dues to the tune of Rs 8–9 crore [Rs 80–90 million]. They have also failed to submit subscriber reports.
This prompted us to disconnect the signals of our channels to them,” an IndiaCast official said on condition of anonymity
