The movie "Indian Rupee" has won the Best Movie Award in the state film awards announced by Film Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar Thursday.
"Ivan Mekharoopan" was chosen as the second best movie. Blessy was named as the Best Director for his movie "Pranayam". "Salt N' Pepper" was chosen as the most popular movie.
In a surprise selection Dileep bagged the Best Actor Award for his performance the movie "Vellaripravinte Changathi ".
Shweta Menon won the Best Female Actor Award for her role movie "Salt N' Pepper" in the Kerala State Film Awards 2011.
Fahad Fazil was chosen as the Best Supporting Male Actor for the movie "Chappakurishu" and Nilambur Ayisha was chosen as the Best Supporting Female Actor for the movie "Oormakkuyil Padumpol".
Malavika was chosen as the Best Child Artiste for here role in the movie "Oomakkuyil Padumpol". Bobby-Sanjay was chosen as the Best Screenwriter for the movie “Traffic". Jagathy Sreekumar was chosen as the Best Comedian for the movie "Swapna Sanchari".
The Best Male Singer Award 2011 went to Sudeep Kumar for the song "Chempakapookaville..." in the movie "Rathinirvedam" and the Best Female Singer Award was bagged by Shreya Ghoshal for the song "Kannoram shinkaram..." in the same movie".
Sreekumaran Thampi won the award for the best lyricist for his song the movie "Naayika". Sarath was chosen as the Best Music director (Ivan Mekharoopan) and the Best Background Music award went to Deepak Dev.
