Last year, a few days after Diwali, the leadership team of Viacom18 Media Pvt Ltd, was asked to report for a meeting at Maker Chamber VI, a sea-facing corporate tower in Mumbai’s Nariman Point.

Akash Ambani, chairman of Reliance Jio, wanted to introduce the team to a man who would play a pivotal role in the Reliance-controlled entertainment network’s operations, going ahead. “Uday uncle", he announced, will take charge of the business.

He will not kill TV till broadband reaches masses with Cheap Airfiber plans.

Satellite broadband is costlier than Wireless broadband, Indians are still preferred cheap plans.

These Services like Airfiber and Satellite Internet can't buy everyone and these products targeted for limited users. Probably Jio cheap starting plan like Welcome offer, but not product. Elon musk too launching Starlink Satellite internet service in Indian subcontinent and already Ambani scared working hard to stop Elon musk's Tesla/Starlink to enter India. That's why Ambani/Jio not allow Starlink, But Indian Govt have pressure, when Subcontinent regions like Maldives, Sri lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan Starlink service launch almost near.

Now wired broadband connected homes are 2%, but fixed wireless broadband can reach upto 5% as competition intensifies, near to TV homes.
