do it pratically.

i am shopkeepr i have rs 2000 with me

i goes to market purchase rs200 worth item
then i have rs1800 with me
lady come to me and gives faek note.
then i have got rs1000 from neighbour. my balance rs 1800+1000 =2800
then paid rs800 to lady, my balance rs 2000
then i paid neighbour rs1000, my balance rs1000.

so at end of day rs 1000 loss.

good point.

but rs1000 loss is bcoz rs200 item cost + rs800 paid in cash from his pocket to neighbour

yes the total loss of 1000 include 200 worth goods and 800 cash.

1200 is correct answer.

200 for goods,
Rs. 1000 for fake currency.

Shopkeeper took 1000 4m another shopkeeper which he returned back 2 him later.Till now loss is zero.
Now he gave goods worth 200 to lady nd rupees 800 cash...Nd in return got fake note...Hence total loss to him is of rupees 1000...

Rs1000 is correct ...i m shocked many people got it wrong ....

Bumped this thread. I asked this question in my close friends' group, 9 out of 10 unsurprisingly answered wrongly.
