Star India, the official broadcaster of the Indian Premier League (IPL), in its effort to earn additional advertising revenue, will air the final match on May 27 on its flagship Hindi GEC channels –Star Plus and Star Gold – besides two new regional channels including Star Pravah in Marathi and Asianet Movies in Kannada.

“As run-up to the finals Star Plus will air two hour special content featuring popular celebrities such as Ranbir Kapoor among others. Similarly other regional channels will telecast two hour special content,” a person close to the development said.

Asianet movies is a Malayalam channel. Thank god finely they add Malayalam language
 
Star India Network will bring fans across various regions the excitement and joy of the finale in a language of their choice and celebrities they love for the upcoming grand finale on Sunday, May 27th, 7 pm onwards as Star India will telecast the IPL finale in 8 languages across 17 channels.
The Grand Finale on the Star India Network and Hotstar will see IPL commentary offered in 6 languages – Hindi, English, Tamil, Telegu, Bengali, and Kannada to be expanded to include Marathi and Malayalam.
