Is Airtel 4K Internet TV Worth To Buy?
1. Price Wise
2. Quality Wise
3. Content Wise
4. Features Wise
5. Needed More Features
6. Already Full Packed Features
Poll Options Worth/Not Worth
if it is Worth Please Give Your comments, if it is not worth and your expecting more features Please Give Your Inputs to Help Our Airtel Users.

As i was expected as Internal HDD Feature will be available but currently it is not available.
Like
HD DVR+Smart Tv(like Chromecast) and More

Not worth in my opinion. If not internal hdd, they should have at least combined it with more RAM. I would not spend 3k to upgrade to this box.

Give your comments guys here :k Thread opened with poll so vote also ;)

As a airtel HD-DVR user, It's rather a Downgrade for me coz...
.
1. No DVR like benefits like Functions Eg. Record 2 Channels and
watch already recorded Content simultaneously
.
2. No Internal Hard Disk, of course I had expected that coz airtel is really High
on prices (Except HD Channels nowadays ...are at low cost) and to bring
competitively priced android box compared to rumored Jio DTH is not possible as of now ...
and 1TB costs almost 3.5k and above... (7200rpm) :'(
.

3. New customer has options Rs.7999/4999 for existing ppl to upgrade costs around 3150 to 3999
and ONLY 1 MONTH ...Free Subscription as opposed to New customers who get 3 months
for price of Rs.4999/-  :shy
.

4. Why would I settle for DUAL CORE processor for 4999/7999 :angry
coz I can get any good android box around 3-6k in the market with quad core/octa core
(with android 6/7 and might be upgradable) and not worry abt subscription
(I think airtel might disable some features if not subscribed to their monthly plans
so I'd rather go for Android box like MXQ, etc).
we can say Airtel Internet Box- Hardware is NOT future - proof.
.

5. I dont know if it would allow my video files with x264/x265  in my HDD   :huh :huh
or they have this usb for just as decoration purposes just like my DVR has.
But in MXQ Android Box can play it smoothly even 4k content as well.
.

6. It has 1 antenna Input and airtel R&D seems very lazy to launch its DVR version
and also lazy at software upgrade. ALThough I must say this new Internet box has
very good Interface   :)
(see the Link of the Video Copyright: Original Uploader)
.

7.Its voice search is.... blah...  :-/

8. I am sure it was a rocket science for them to give Headphone Jack in the Remote itself....
I think Videocon DTH has that Functionality (Correct me if I am wrong)
Edit- but Blutooth Headset Can Be CONNECTED ..   :clap :k :luv
.
so Finally, if you are NOT - Aged old :hello :hello  while reading my post
here are my final suggestions:

-Existing Customers-  Don't go for it :no :no  ,
wait for some time to at least see them drop prices or buy a Good Android box
which will be cheaper and must be available in various hardware options
-New Customers - Check above comments for "Existing Customers"  :lol :c

Things I like from specs and images:

1. MicroSD slot. (I hate mechanical sound of HDD.)
2. Android TV Platform and Interface
3. Quality of Games
4. Play Store apps

What I dislike from specs and images:

1. Single Tuner
2. Low inbuilt storage
3. Streaming of DTH Channels to mobile/PC not supported (From Mobile/PC to TV is supported)
4. Hardware may soon get outdated for apps with next version.

I am voting no for now. May change my mind with more info.
