So I'm having some issues with my current Sun Direct HD STB and I'm thinking of replacing it and I'm itching to get my hands on the shiny new Sun Direct Max 4K box. I found a dealer district near to me and he's taking pre-booking right now for ₹3499 only for the box and he says box will be delivered within 30-60 days. The rational person in me says: "Wait for the official launch! What if there's some issue with box or some of the streaming services included doesn't work/supported? There will be no way for you to claim warranty or get customer support for an unreleased product!" but the haste in me says: "Get it right now!". I'm confused what to do right now. One side my current STB is glitchy and is ruining my watching experience and I'm in dire need of a new box. But the other side I'm kind of hesitant to get an unreleased product in fear of some features not working/not supported or the support getting dropped after official launch. I've heard numerous stories about customers buying unreleased products and not getting the optimal experience and once they contact customer support they simply wash their hands by saying "Sorry, this product is not under warranty. This is a beta test product" or something along the lines. I also have so many doubts regarding the box on whether my current dish connection will work with it so that I get my HD channels normally and do I need to get separate subscription for each streaming service or it's an integrated one like Airtel? What should I do now? Thanks in advance for anyone who answers!

I feel JOKE to buy 4K box for TV Channels.
In India only two or three or one 4K service available at seasonally for that we buying 4K STB.
This 4K STB better for YouTube not for TV Channels.

Bro, if people using Internet for Official work / personal use in home can opt for Streaming devices like Firetv stick , Google streamer , Jio TV+ since with additional Rs.250 then can view all channels.
But if the monthly budget is between Rs.259- Rs.350 then cannot afford OTT packs since have to pay both internet and OTT.
Monthly cost will come around Rs.700 . ( Rs.706 in Jio fiber) .
So,they can go for 4K STB provided they have 4K TV also.

@Vadirocks Bro I too feel that you're the most qualified person in this forum to answer these questions. Waiting for your reply. Sorry for the tag :p

Sun Direct Max at 3500 rupees and Delivery period is around 60 days, definitely a very bad deal.
I think they given some sample boxes to their dealers for feedback and end product maybe have some changes like number keys in Remote.

Yeah, I felt the same too. So I looked up the price here on this forum and a user commented that they booked the box via customer support and the price of the box is only Rs.1995! That dealer is trying to scam people! I gave him some bitter medicine now. I'm waiting for vadirocks bro's inputs and any insider information about final retail price and pack details.
