Guys

I cant remember exactly where did I read. I think I watched a YouTube video some months back which described the best position of LNB to get maximum possible signals for Tata Sky DTH.

The process included finding some marks (like lines of a scale) on the LNB and one particular mark (line) must be in front of the rod containing LNB or something similar.

I cant remember the whole thing exactly.

Can experts provide their opinion is it true? I know dish alignment matters the most to receive signals but is it also true that there is an optimal position of the LNB to get maximum possible signals?

Thanks in advance.

PS: I think I have also viewed a photo in this forum where some guys told about the same when Tata Sky started testing GSAT satellite.

Yes bro rotating LNB in clockwise or anti-clockwise will make changes in signal receiving, not only in TS ...:)

^^ I understand that but I want to know what is the best setting of LNB position if dish antenna is set properly. I read somewhere about some marks on LNB.

Actually when Tata Sky engineer came to my house, he rotated LNB here and there but it didnt make much difference, thats why I'm worried now. May be by placing the LNB at optimal position, I can receive more signals.

Bro lnb rotation only not increase the signal, after correct alignment of whole dish,u will get the more signal, but best signal meter need for correct alignment & i have one simple signal meter, after connect the meter signal issue,so i will realign the dish without signal meter many times:shy:shy

As per my knowledge there is no scale or marks on LNB's, but there is a scale on the LNB holder...
Technicians rotates and checks the signal level in satellite meters, and they fix the LNB when it shows maximum signal.

I remember I watched a video on YouTube and an image here on this forum which told the best position of LNB to get best signals. The method was like matching some marks on LNB and its holder.

Bro you can check your lnb and confirm that if any marks are are there on your lnb..

^^ I want to know what mark on LNB must correspond to which mark on LNB holder to receive maximum signals.

Bro I already said that I didn't saw any marking on LNB's... only LNB holder have marking...
